Alophim is the website brand used by GleamEdge Ltd for the advertising, enquiry-review and referral service available through alophim.com.
Our role
GleamEdge Ltd operates alophim.com as an advertising and enquiry-referral service. We receive enquiries from visitors who would like information about independently supplied Thames cruises and related experiences.
GleamEdge Ltd may review an enquiry and select one participating independent excursion or booking provider that appears suitable based on the information submitted and the availability or service information available to us.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, GleamEdge Ltd:
- does not own, charter or operate the vessels featured on the website;
- does not employ or control captains, guides or onboard crew;
- does not hold itself out as the provider of the advertised excursion;
- does not confirm cruise bookings;
- does not accept customer payments for excursions;
- does not issue cruise tickets or booking confirmations;
- does not provide the excursion itself; and
- is not a party to the final excursion or booking contract.
GleamEdge Ltd may receive compensation when an enquiry is referred to a participating provider or when a booking is completed through a commercial partner.
Website information
The website contains promotional and general information about private boat, yacht and sightseeing experiences. This may include information about proposed routes, meeting points, estimated duration, vessel style, inclusions, exclusions and accessibility.
Information may be based on material supplied by excursion operators, booking providers, commercial partners or other sources. It is intended to help visitors decide whether to submit an enquiry.
Website content does not itself guarantee:
- that a particular vessel or operator will be available;
- that a requested date or departure time is available;
- that a particular route, stop or landmark can be reached;
- that a stated feature, inclusion or optional service will be available;
- that an indicative price will remain available;
- that the excursion is suitable for every passenger or group; or
- that the final provider will use the same photographs, vessel or itinerary shown on the website.
Images may include licensed, supplied or illustrative photography. The provider selected for an enquiry should confirm the exact vessel, route, capacity, inclusions and material booking details before a customer agrees to proceed.
Submitting an enquiry
Submitting a form, sending an email or calling the contact number creates an enquiry only. It does not:
- create a booking;
- reserve a vessel or time slot;
- guarantee availability;
- create a payment obligation;
- form a contract for an excursion; or
- guarantee that a participating provider will make an offer.
You should provide accurate and reasonably complete information, including your preferred date, time, group size, contact details and any relevant accessibility or practical requirements.
We may contact you to clarify an enquiry before selecting or referring it to a provider. We may decline to process enquiries that are incomplete, abusive, unlawful, fraudulent, technically suspicious or unrelated to the services described on the website.
Do not submit payment-card information, passwords, passport details or unnecessary sensitive information through the general enquiry form.
Selection of a suitable provider
GleamEdge Ltd may select one provider from its available participating partners after reviewing the enquiry. The selection may take account of:
- the requested date and preferred time;
- group size and passenger requirements;
- the type and duration of experience requested;
- the proposed meeting point or route;
- accessibility or practical requirements;
- provider service area and capacity;
- known provider availability; and
- the provider's ability to respond to the enquiry.
This selection is an enquiry-referral decision only. It is not a recommendation, guarantee of quality, confirmation of availability or acceptance of responsibility for the provider's services.
GleamEdge Ltd is not obliged to refer every enquiry and cannot guarantee that a suitable provider will be available.
Referral to an independent provider
To progress an enquiry, GleamEdge Ltd may share the information submitted with one suitable independent excursion or booking provider selected after reviewing the enquiry.
The information shared will normally be limited to what is reasonably needed to understand and respond to the request, such as your name, contact details, preferred date or time, group size and message.
The selected provider may then contact you directly regarding availability, final pricing, booking conditions, payment arrangements, safety requirements and service details.
The provider should identify itself when contacting you. Where reasonably practicable, GleamEdge Ltd may also tell you which provider received the enquiry.
The receiving provider is responsible for its own use of your personal information after receiving the enquiry and will normally act as an independent data controller. Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Bookings and contracts
A booking is formed only when the selected independent excursion operator or booking provider:
- confirms availability;
- provides the material booking terms;
- states the final price and payment requirements; and
- accepts the booking in accordance with its own terms.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the final contract is between you and the excursion operator or booking provider identified in the quotation, payment request or booking confirmation.
The provider's terms may include rules relating to payment, deposits, passenger numbers, arrival time, conduct, prohibited items, accessibility, weather, route changes, cancellations and refunds.
You should confirm the provider's legal identity, service details, final price, cancellation terms and contact information before making payment or accepting a booking.
Prices and payments
Prices displayed on alophim.com are indicative unless expressly described as a fixed current price for a specific offer.
The final price may depend on factors including:
- the requested date and departure time;
- cruise duration;
- group size;
- vessel and provider availability;
- route, marina and operating arrangements;
- optional extras or special requests;
- taxes, fees and third-party charges.
The selected provider is responsible for confirming the total price, what is included, any deposit, payment deadline and accepted payment methods before a booking is completed.
GleamEdge Ltd does not collect excursion payments through alophim.com. Do not send payment-card information through the website enquiry form.
Cancellations and refunds
The cancellation, amendment and refund terms that apply to a confirmed excursion are set by the independent provider and should be supplied before the customer agrees to book.
Any cancellation summary displayed on alophim.com is general information only. The provider terms supplied with the quotation or booking confirmation take priority where they differ from a website summary.
Services relating to leisure activities on a specific date or during a specific period may not carry the same cancellation rights as some other distance contracts. This does not remove any mandatory consumer right or any cancellation or refund right provided by the provider's terms.
GleamEdge Ltd does not hold excursion payments and does not approve or issue refunds for confirmed bookings. Refund or cancellation requests relating to a confirmed booking should be directed to the provider that accepted the booking and received the payment.
Further general information is available in our Cancellation Policy.
Cruise operation, licensing and safety
The independent provider is responsible for the vessel, captain, crew, passenger capacity, insurance, licences, regulatory compliance, safety procedures and delivery of the excursion.
Routes, departure times and duration may be affected by weather, tide, river traffic, marina access, port or harbour restrictions, vessel availability and safety decisions.
The captain and provider have final authority over safe operation of the vessel. Passengers must comply with the provider's instructions, safety rules, boarding requirements and conduct policies.
Accessibility, mobility, health, pregnancy or other suitability requirements should be raised before booking so that the provider can assess the available vessel and boarding arrangements.
Imperial Wharf Marina is presented on alophim.com as the advertised meeting point for the main experience. It is not the registered office or business address of GleamEdge Ltd. The provider's final booking confirmation controls the actual meeting point and boarding instructions.
Independent providers and third-party services
Excursion providers, vessel owners, captains, guides, marinas, payment processors, caterers and other suppliers are independent third parties unless expressly stated otherwise.
GleamEdge Ltd is not responsible for the acts or omissions of an independent provider merely because the provider is featured on, selected through or contacted following an enquiry submitted through alophim.com.
External websites, payment pages and booking platforms are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. You should review those documents before providing information or making payment.
Acceptable use
You must not use alophim.com to:
- submit false, misleading, duplicate or fraudulent enquiries;
- impersonate another person or use contact details without authority;
- upload or transmit malicious code;
- interfere with website security or operation;
- collect data from the website without authorisation;
- use the website for unlawful, abusive or harassing activity.
We may restrict access or decline to process an enquiry where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, layout, graphics, branding and other original content on alophim.com are owned by or licensed to GleamEdge Ltd.
Product names, vessel names, provider names, photographs, trademarks and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence, permission or another applicable legal basis.
Website content may not be copied, republished or used commercially without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
Privacy, cookies and communications
GleamEdge Ltd processes information submitted through alophim.com to receive, review and respond to enquiries and, where appropriate, refer them to one suitable independent provider.
Information about purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention and data-protection rights is provided in our Privacy Policy.
By submitting an enquiry, you request communications relating to that enquiry. This does not automatically constitute consent to unrelated marketing.
Optional marketing communications will only be sent where there is an appropriate lawful basis and will include a way to opt out.
Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or mandatory consumer rights.
GleamEdge Ltd is responsible for operating alophim.com and handling enquiries with reasonable care. It is not responsible for performance of an excursion contract entered into directly with an independent provider.
Subject to applicable law, GleamEdge Ltd is not responsible for:
- unavailability of a vessel, provider or requested date;
- changes, cancellations or substitutions made by a provider;
- weather, tide, river, port, marina or transport disruption;
- third-party payment, booking or communication systems;
- loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a visitor;
- the safety, licensing, insurance or service performance of an independent provider;
- events outside our reasonable control.
We do not exclude any responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

Changes to these terms
GleamEdge Ltd may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes to the website, enquiry process, participating providers, legal requirements or business details.
The version published on this page applies from the “Last updated” date shown above. Changes to these website terms do not alter an existing contract between a customer and an independent provider.

These website and enquiry terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers may also have mandatory rights under the law of the part of the United Kingdom or other country in which they live where those rights cannot legally be excluded.
